Well....no work for me today Oppo - school was pre-emptively cancelled due to the pending weather. It hasn’t even started doing anything here yet and the ground is pretty bare, but we have 4 Weather Warnings on us right now for snowfall, rain, wind and storm surge.

15-30cm snow, 110-140kph wind gusts, up to 35mm of rain....it will not be a good time.

I’ll probably be losing power later today....had a big storm here on Christmas day and hundreds of thousands were without power then and this storm will be worse, so that doesn’t bode well. Might have to move Humdrum down to the cul-de-sac away from potentially falling trees...

I saw in another post that you’re from NS. I went to Halifax a number of years ago, and had the time of my life (to be fair, I was drinking the entire weekend.) No real point to this, and I unfortunately can’t commiserate, as it’s cool and pleasant right now in northern California. My cousins in New Hampshire know for sure though, they’re getting pounded with wind and snow right now.

we’re not even going to get the worst of it in MI but schools are closing here. temps in the low teens/single digits combined with 20 mph winds gusting to 40 is no joke. I hope my drains don’t freeze up again.

Snow I could care less, I hope I don’t lose power. I reallllyyyy don’t feel like spending $700 on a generator to keep my house from freezing this weekend.

We have no backup heat source if our power goes out, so here’s hoping that if it does it’s not out for long!
